About MPKAY

The Mumbai Police Kutumb Arogya Yojna (MPKAY) was started in 2005 with a view to providing basic healthcare facilities to police personnel covered under Maharashtra state Medical Services Rules 1961 are treated and operated upon for free in 171 hospitals across the state.

Family covered

Family size should not exceed 7 members and family definition for coverage is Self + Spouse + Dependent Children (up to 3) + Parents / parents in-law.

Hospitalization

Around 32 Diseases treatments are covered under scheme in both government hospitals and selected network of private hospitals. The treatment cost payable in scheme is as per CGHS rates.

Treatment under hospitals is to be provided under cashless, and bills for treatment will be reimbursed by Maharashtra Police DGP office / Commissioner Office to the Hospitals.
